What advice would you give to your freshman self?
Don’t worry about the future too much. It’s going to work out in the end.

Tell us your favorite MBU memory.
Winning conference with my teammates and playing nationals in Oregon while also enjoying our off day exploring the beaches.

Funniest memory?
Me and my roommate were fed up with not being able to play golf early in February our freshman year and so decided to go play golf in 20 degree weather. We dressed up as warm as we could and I looked like I was going to rob some place haha. We played nine holes and after that I looked at Ryan and said, “Dude, playing in this weather is not helping us, it’s hurting us. Let’s go back!” To this day I don’t think I’ve played in colder weather on the golf course than that day.

What does being a Spartan mean to you?
Treat people with respect and care while being intentional with your faith and friendships.

What professors/staff inspired you and why?
Dr. Andy Chambers, he is such a caring person and always has an ear to listen to anyone.

How has MBU impacted your faith?
Since I started out as a freshman I was still naive in certain areas with my faith. Now, after having so many great people teach me valuable lessons at MBU, I feel that my relationship with Jesus has grown more mature.

How has MBU prepared you for your future?
MBU taught me that you can achieve success through hard work and dedication, while also having a caring and helpful attitude. Life is not just about having a good job or great family, but how you can serve others through your actions by showing the love of Christ to them, even though it can be very hard. Getting out of your comfort zone may not be the best feeling, but that’s what we’re called to do as Christ followers.

What are your next steps after graduation?
For now I’m looking for a job by doing OPT (Optional Practical Training) which gives me a year that I can work in the States without having to change my student visa. After that I’m most likely going to apply for graduate studies and then see where that leads me; it’s funny though because we can make our own plans and then God comes along and guides us on a totally different path.
